Open Office in AM. Pull charts and set up for sessions
Schedule a New Patient appointment and obtain all information required
Chart preparation
Schedule follow up appointments
Pre-Register a patient by pulling the patients chart and verifying demographics, insurance info, any needed referrals.
File in patient records
Demonstrate proper telephone etiquette and processes to retrieve and transfer calls and messages
Attend staff meetings as scheduled
Documents appropriately in patient’s charts any appointments missed and reasoning for missing appointments
Maintain office area in a clean and orderly fashion
Maintains waiting area in good supply of reading material
Interact with members of the Health Care Team
Maintain patient care areas so they are orderly and functional
Identify that the proper account number is being used every visit
Demonstrates proper filing of charts
Maintain and abide by all HIPPA regulations
Other duties as assigned
Required Competencies
Knowledge of office administration including scheduling, maintaining documentation.
Extensive knowledge of medical records billing functions.
Knowledge of community resources.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to interact effectively in a team setting with other behavioral health professionals.
Familiarity with various ethnic and cultural groups.
Ability to coordinate multiple activities and prioritize.
Minimum Qualifications:
An associate degree in business or comparable work experience.
Must have a current Maryland driver’s license, automobile liability insurance and willingness to provide own transportation in the course of performing job duties.
